The problem
Working through a list in WordPress (fixing SEO titles, adding alt text, processing orders) means edit, back to the list, find the next row, open it, and often losing filters and page number on the way.
The solution
Listhop remembers the list's filters, search, sort and status view, then offers Previous / Next and Save & Next in the same order across list pages. It works in the block editor, classic editor, media screen and WooCommerce order screens, with keyboard shortcuts and unsaved-changes protection.
AI acceleration
AI tooling drafted editor integrations and settings screens. The neighbour lookup, the save-then-navigate rules and the permission checks were designed and reviewed by hand.
Fast on large sites#
Loading a whole list to find one neighbour doesn't scale. For the common sorts (date, title, modified date, menu order, ID, author, comments, and order date, number or total), Listhop uses keyset pagination: one small indexed LIMIT 1 query per direction, built from the current item's sort values. Other sorts load the list's IDs once, up to a configurable limit, and cache them briefly.
Save & Next that can't lose work#
- It never publishes a draft: items are saved with their current status.
- It moves on only after the save succeeded; otherwise the editor's own error stays visible.
- It goes to the item that was next before saving, so changing a title or status doesn't skip or repeat items.
Respects permissions and storage#
Only items the user can edit are offered, matching the list. WooCommerce orders are read from whichever storage WooCommerce marks as authoritative, with HPOS sync on or off.
Developer hooks#
Filters like listhop_context_query_args and listhop_allowed_context_vars, plus wp.hooks events in JavaScript, let other plugins extend the remembered list.
